Turkey Toms Story

Turkey Tom came home with us on July 7th, 2025. At first, we brought him in with the idea that he would one day be our Thanksgiving dinner. But as the months passed, Turkey Tom completely won our hearts. He was cute, silly, and incredibly affectionate. He followed us all around the backyard, happily perched on our laps and shoulders, and even let us carry him like a big feathery baby.

Now he’s grown so much that he no longer fits on our laps or shoulders—but he’s still the same lovable, gentle soul who captured our hearts from day one. And that’s exactly how The Tale of Turkey Tom came to life.

Tom's Message to Kids

If Turkey Tom could talk, he'd probably ask one simple question:

1. What are you doing? and

2. Do you have any food?.

While one of his favoriate things to do is eat, he is always in search for a good snack. Tom also is very interested in what you are doing weather your in the back yard or just lounging in a chair, he will keep his eye on you watching your every move.

When Tom spreads his tail, he’s showing off his health, confidence, and personality, and every turkey’s fan pattern is unique.

Male turkeys often grow a tuft of long, hair-like feathers called a “beard.” It grows longer as they age and is another part of their show-off look.
